So I'm kinda ticked... which is to say pissed...
While getting ready for the DVD booth at Fan Expo an exchange occurred that really ticked (pissed) me off. I know I said I'd be at the booth promoting the DVD (that shall remain nameless) but it's unlikely now. If you wanna hook up with me just tweet me and I'll come find you :)

Here's the convo (there were notes earlier but they dont pertain to this)

I got a laptop we can use. The battery life sucks but if Mark has a giant battery...
And I guess me and my roommates aren't moving out of this place this weekend so anyone (except Shane) who wants to crash here can. I'm sure my roommates wouldn't mind. There's a couple couches. One pulls out into a bed.

Nerdgasm
Ugh.. this is why I didnt want to do a blog. I knew I'd start doing posts that didn't have to be posted...
HOWEVER, there are things to talk about. The Comic Book Store Series IS getting a booth at Fan Expo. I'll be hawking DVD's even though I am only in one episode. I am told I am supposed to be a bigger character in Season 3 but none the less, we will be there selling DVD's along with Felicia Day and Amy Okuda. Well.. not next too, but in the same building as... same thing ;)
Here is a fun Twitter exchange...

amyokuda - Will be in Canada for fanexpo in a week! Yay so excited to go, never been to toronto before! who will be there?
Shane_Roberts - @amyokuda OH OH OH!!!!! I'M GONNA BE THERE!!!!.. errr... I mean... hey.. sup... I might pop in... whatevs...
CLEARLY, we can all see what is happening here. I was SO HOPING I wouldn't have to break anyones heart in this trip. *sigh* Being me... it's a blessing and a curse.
As for the Youtube project, I am having a hard time with the blank sheet. I pull up something to write and then get distracted. I may need to switch to paper because the computer offers WAY too many distractions. It also doesnt help that TiVo catches so many $25,000 Pyramids from GSN.

Hopes & Screams
Oh man... You know... I have written a new blog 4 times now and I have yet to actually post. I know what you are thinking.. "Why isn't the post funnier?"... You're thoughts are very mean to me :(
Good news everyone! I came up with a name for a fictional business. I have always been bad with names ESPECIALLY business names. I have one now and I am quite pleased with it. I shopped it around to some friends who, after calling me gay, punching my arm and asking my opinion of their favourite sports teams, agreed the name was a good choice. That means I now have to face my biggest fear...
THE BLANK PAGE
I plan to write 26 shorts and shoot the office scenes all at once. There won't be many outdoor scenes but what there is can be shot later. I DO need to find 26 people who will record for me since this will be like an advice column. It's hard to ask people if they want to do a video on their webcam for you. There's no nice way of asking... Still, I'll worry about that down the road. I have to move forward or else I get comfortable sitting still. That leads to depression... and then the flying rats come....
I want to get the Communicore Online podcast up again before I go away at the end of September. I dont know how practical that is.. but thats the hope.
Anyone have some advice questions they want to ask :D
My mom had one, but I don't want to answer "What do you do when your son is a disappointment?"

It Begins
Hi No One.
I say that ONLY because I find it hard to believe that anyone will read my first posts. *lol* If something amazing happens and people actually end up caring about what I do, then let me apologize and say you are definitely a someone (Unless you are Amy Winehoouse), but as I write this, I am sure that few people will pay much attention to the Canuck with all the ideas. In fact I am sure, most people won't get past canuck, eh?
Let me explain why I'm here. I need a place to organize my ideas and projects and possibly enjoy some comments from people. I need a place to post a little humour and actually SEE my thoughts. I have so many things I want to do, that they all get put together in my brain and it seems insurmountable. It's like mashed potatoes and corn and I would like a neat orderly plate... and also some hummus.
If you have somehow found me it may be because you listened to my podcast at http://www.CommunicoreOnline.com, welcome! If you haven't, it's a Disney Podcast that I loved doing, but as my business got more and more successful, I started falling behind, and sadly, the cast has faded. It IS coming back. I love that cast, all the characters we've made and the people I've met. One thing after another gets in the way. I just had a friend move out of the office space we cohabitated so I am working at turning his space into a new studio (and trying to get the smell out of the carpet) This will give me a little more freedom for both my cast and my business office. Once it's up... I have a fun idea for the return that I hope everyone will like.
There is another podcast that will soon follow. The Retro Cartoon Cavalcade that will focus on past cartoons from the 60s-90s. There aren't a lot of podcasts like this out there, and the ones that are... no disrespect intended... but I don't care for them and I feel I can do a better job for fans with similar tastes. It will be great because I will be hosting the cast with my friend Trent and we have some fun stuff planned. You can see Trent in The Comic Book Store Series here http://comicbookstoreseries.com/. I make an appearance in Season 2 as Mick. He wrote that episode, told me that it was a reference to my love of Disney World but I think he was making fun of my part Irish heritage.
Another cast is POSSIBLE but it feels cold. I have a friend named Ryat and we were going to put something together.. but at this point it seems unlikely...
Finally, I have a youtube project in the works. A series that has lots of possibilities for fun and laughter. I love to write and this should be a good series (unlike a previous series I did, which I mostly hate right now). A second youtube project may follow based on the success level of this one. I dont want to give too much away on either until they are done. My friends and colleagues seem to think its a pretty solid idea, so I dont want to get scooped :P
Unfortunately I own a couple of janitorial companies that are fairly successful. They take up a lot of my time as I am not good at delegating or asking people to do things. I end up working most of the jobs myself, but my staff seem happy and I suppose that is what matters most. It does however put a serious strain on my time.
As I started out saying, this blog is for me (and anyone else who cares) to keep track of my projects and life. The world is full thinkers, but it is short on doers. I want to be a doer.
Follow me on Twitter if you like. I try to be funny and tweet about whats on my mind.
